Who We Are:
Welcome to Great Beginnings, a fully licensed year round private preschool and childcare facility serving the Newhall and Santa Clarita area since 2003. At Great Beginnings our mission is to provide a safe, nurturing, high quality, engaging environment where your child can develop at their own pace and in their own unique way. Our caring and dedicated staff of many years is committed to nurturing, challenging, supporting and encouraging each child’s path to self-discovery. We provide full time care for children under the age of 2 with flexible scheduling thereafter and our center is staffed by credentialed Early Childhood Education Teachers who are certified in First Aid and CPR. We strive to be a school that instills a love of learning and happy memories during your child’s early years. We offer a non-denominational curriculum where diversity is celebrated and respected.
What We Teach:
Through different modalities such as sensory bins, various forms of art and crafts, projects, storytelling, group exercises, and through our many educational centers including the dramatic play area, art and music area, Great Beginnings sparks the creative interests and the curiosity of your little one while promoting emotional maturity and proactive social interactions.
What We Believe:
At Great Beginnings, we promote a sense of community through special events that our families are invited to throughout the year which include a Halloween parade, holiday show, and our pre-k and Kindergarten graduations. From years of experience, we feel and have witnessed that parents/guardians play a pivotal role in a child’s ability to succeed and achieve their greatest potential. Showing interest and support for children proactively attending school and actively being involved in school programs and functions, almost always guarantees that the child will have positive feelings towards current and future schooling. We cannot stress enough that communication amongst children, parents/guardians and teachers is vital in our partnership.
Summer Camp:
Summer is a time to explore new worlds, enhance imagination, provide new experiences, develop new skills and go on fun adventures. Our jam-packed fun filled summer camp program brings all that and more without leaving the premises. Each week offers a new theme and lots of activities filled with creativity and exploration to delight and engage every child.
Great Beginnings has year-round enrollment, but beginning in our summer camp is a particularly special time to start as it gives your child the opportunity to experience a wide range of positive and stimulating camp festivities that include various exciting and interactive activities such as magic shows, petting zoo, water slides, cookouts and much more. Our summer camp program places emphasis on implementing Spanish into our daily group time through music, books, arts and crafts.
